A real shop, with a real cutting table.
Suite 4 on Redondo Avenue is where the work happens — gowns on the form, a machine room in the back, and Greg at the table most days. Walk in with your garment; we will look at it together.

The free consultation
An in-store consultation is free and takes about five minutes — enough to look at the garment and give you a price. Longer fittings, pinning and the work itself begin once you accept the quote.

With David's Bridal stores closing across the country, a lot of brides are holding a dress with nowhere to take it. Bring it to Redondo Avenue. We will take it in, lift it, hem it, and build the bustle so you can actually dance.

Private fittings, at your address.
For a small number of clients — a bride with a full schedule, a groomsman flying in, someone who cannot get to Long Beach — Greg will come to you. It is a concierge service: his time and travel are part of the price, quoted individually before anything is booked.
Most work happens at the studio on Redondo Avenue, where the machines, the pressing table and the mirror are. A private fitting is the exception, not the standard.

About Greg
A family trade, kept by hand.
Greg Garcia learned this work at a bench, beside family, on garments that had to be right because a neighbor was going to wear them on Sunday. That is still how the shop runs.
The Active Brand is family-owned and stays small on purpose. Greg does the fitting, the cutting and the finishing himself, which is why the answer to “can this be fixed?” is usually yes — and why he will tell you when it is not worth the money.
He fits brides, grooms, quinceañeras, police and fire uniforms, lawyers, nurses and people who simply want their jeans to fall right. Fit the person, not the size on the label.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours. If you want Greg himself to fit you, his personal fitting hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am–3:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am–7:00pm — booking ahead is recommended for those.
What does the free consultation include?
Five minutes in the shop to look at the garment and give you a price. That part is free. Longer fittings, pinning and the work itself begin once you accept the quote.
How is the final price decided?
Every price on this page is a starting price. The final number is set after the tailor examines the garment — construction, lining, beading and fabric all change the work involved.
How much do bridal alterations cost?

Do you come to my home?
Only as a private fitting, by appointment, for select clients. It is a premium concierge service: Greg's time and travel are part of the price and it is quoted individually. Most work is done at the studio.
Do you work on designer pieces and leather?
Yes. Designer garments including Versace and Louis Vuitton, leather goods and designer handbags. Bring the piece in and Greg will tell you what is realistic before you commit.
Do you handle uniforms?
Police, fire, military, medical and legal. Uniform work is fitted to regulation and built to hold up to daily wear.
Do you speak Spanish?
Sí. Se habla español — consultations, pricing and fittings can all be handled in Spanish.
Do you dry clean as well?
Yes — dry cleaning is available alongside the tailoring, which means a gown can be cleaned and fitted without making two trips.
